- Face Mask – Mix together one tablespoon of clay with one tablespoon of water or rose water or apple cider vinegar, until it forms a paste. Apply to clean face and let sit for 10 minutes. As the mask dries, it tightens and pulls dirt and impurities from the skin to the surface. When ready to remove, wash off with warm water, followed by a natural moisturizer. This can be applied once or twice a week. Do not use metal utensils when mixing clays.
- Exfoliator – Mix one tablespoon clay with one tablespoon of your favorite natural exfoliator (sugar, coffee, oatmeal) and one tablespoon of water/rosewater (or your preferred oil), to form a paste. Gently rub into skin. Use once a week.
- Hair Mask – Mix equal parts clay and warm water. If your hair errs on the dry side, add a couple drops of your preferred oil (coconut, argan, olive, etc). Lather paste onto hair and scalp and let it sit for 5 minutes or longer if wearing a shower cap. Then wash off in the shower. Do not let the mask dry and harden on your hair.
