"Ugo Zaccagnini (1868 - 1937) was an Italian ceramist and sculptor. He was born in Pistoia and studied at the Scuola di Disegno Industriale in Siesto Fiorentino. Until 1891, he worked as a sculptor and modeler in the Richard-Ginori ceramics factory in Sesto Fiorentino. In 1905, Zaccagnini founded the ceramic factory “Ugo Zaccagnini & Figli" in Sesto Fiorentino. The company's first production focused on majolica and earthenware, often inspired by the ancient Della Robbia models."
